American search engines, searchengines of America (USA)

Whitelines.net guides you to the popular search engines for most countries and offers the links to promote your Website URL. The following American search engines are found.

7search.com
7Search.com is one of the first Pay-Per-Ranking Searchengines on the Internet. This means that you have to pay for your submission! The advantage is that you can choose to be ranked first for certain kewords.
You can also visit 7metasearch.com for only top-10 Rankings from Yahoo!, Alltheweb, Altavista and other major searchengines.

aeiwi.com
aeiwi.com offers you a hierarchical way to find the items you are looking for. On the main page you select (from a list) of type your keyword. The searchengine will produce a list with related keywords where you can select from again. This continued keyword selection method leads you to the results.

ah-ha.com
ah-ha.com was founded in January 1999 to meet the growing demand for clean, relevant information on the Internet. At the same time, we wanted to create a marketplace where small and medium sized businesses could advertise their products or services without having to spend thousands of dollars each month.

altavista.com
With using AltaVista's Express Inclusion service you can expect to see your site listed within 5-10 days. The nice thing about this new service is that AltaVista will re-index your site weekly, therefore making sure that your listing is current. You can still choose to submit to Alta Vista for free, however expect to wait 7-10 months before they index your site, if at all.
Altavista retrieves the main results from their own database, and the directory results from Looksmart. Also Overture delivers "bid for location" results to Altavista.

Designing the Fastest Car on The Planet, Scientists at Work:

http://meroknowledge.blogspot.com

Apart from a brief break in the 1960s and 1970s, British engineering and drivers have played a dominant role in setting the land speed record in the fastest cars on the planet. Starting from Lydston Hornsted’s Benz No. 3, which broke the record to reach 124mph exactly 100 years ago, to the current land-speed-record holder Andy Green’s Thrust SSC, which crossed the supersonic barrier to reach 763mph in 1997.

Now the people behind Thrust SSC have set themselves an even more challenging target to reach the land speed record of 1,000 mph in a new car called Bloodhound SSC. The target date for achieving it is 2016 and it will be attempted in the Hakskeen Pan in South Africa, where they have created a track that is 12 miles long and two miles wide.

The hope in doing this is to inspire a new generation of British engineers and scientists, promote British engineering around the world and spin out technologies that will affect the design of engineering applications and bolster the UK economy.

How to stay on the ground

It is now seven years since I first sat down with Ron Ayers and Richard Noble, who led Thrust SSC. In that meeting, we discussed the idea and, specifically, aerodynamic challenges of taking a land-based vehicle to 1,000 mph. It was soon after that bizarre encounter that the picture below turned up on my desk at Swansea University (where I was completing a PhD at the time).

Early artist’s impression of the yet-to-be-named’ Bloodhound LSR vehicle
http://meroknowledge.blogspot.com
A key question when starting to design Bloodhound was: how can we keep the car on the ground? This is important because cars at such speeds are at the risk of taking off, much like how airplanes do. For comparison, a typical passenger plane takes off at about 150mph. Of course the thrust offered to planes is meant for it to take off, but for cars going at 1,000mph, any mistake in the aerodynamics would mean disaster. Although this hasn’t happened in recent attempts of speed records, an example from 1967 when Donald Campbell tried to reach a water speed record illustrates what could go wrong.

Technology developments and the bravery of drivers have kept creating new land speed records all through the last century. Even though the first record was set in an electric powered car, most of the first half of the century worth of records were then dominated by piston engine driven vehicles. These internal combustion engines, as they are known, are found in almost all modern petrol or diesel cars. Using these engines the record could be reached only up to 400 mph.

To push beyond, car builders needed more power. That is when they turned to jet engines and rockets to take over the job of propelling these vehicle. This was also the time when, as speeds kept going up, the resistance caused by air became too important to ignore. Aerodynamics of cars became critical in a successful land speed record attempt.

how to unlock iphone 5 for free

Software unlocks to unlock iPhone 5/5s/5c are a commonly advertised method of unlocking an iPhone 5 series. The truth is that they never actually work and every single piece of software is a scam that has the sole aim of getting your credit card details. Don’t expect a refund from these guys either when you do figure out that it doesn’t work. I’ll be honest, I have fallen for this trick twice now and each time I lost my money with no results. Make sure and learn from my mistakes: there is no software you can download which will unlock your iPhone 5 series.

Hardware Unlock – will invalidate your warranty and take weeks to perform

A method and a solution on how to unlock iPhone 5 that does work is altering the hardware on the iPhone 5 series. This involves ordering alternative SIM card trays from China, inserting them into your iPhone and then putting in a new SIM card. While this does work there are major drawbacks. One is that it takes weeks to get the tray and if you aren’t adept at technology then it can be difficult to insert the new tray yourself. Secondly the tray can get jammed rendering the iPhone useless. Try taking it to an Apple store and see what they say because you have just voided your warranty.

Network Unlock or IMEI Unlock – Easy, permanent and really fast
Ok, so we have the ‘bad’ ways to unlock an iPhone 5 series, what about the ‘good’? A Network Unlock which is also known as an IMEI Unlock is incredibly simple and easy to do and will unlock your iPhone. You pay someone with the know-how to access Apple’s global database containing all the iPhone registration numbers (IMEI) and they then transfer your iPhone number to the ‘whitelist’ meaning that you can use that phone on ANY NETWORK you want.

When the unlocking is complete you get a nice email to confirm that you can now use your iPhone on any network and your iTunes greets you with this message when you connect your phone:

So, once you see this message your iPhone is officially unlocked, for good. Also, a big bonus of this method is that your warranty is still intact.

I never knew about this method until recently and I thought the only way to get a network unlock was to pay around $300 to my carrier for them to do it for me.

No way is that a reasonable fee I thought so I went online and searched around for IMEI unlocking companies. These are the ones I found and they are safe, have a good reputation and customer support and provide a proper unlock iPhone 5/5s/5c series.

iUnlock Pro (10/10 – pick of the bunch)

They offer complete iPhone 5 series unlocks at a cheap price and have great customer service into the bargain as well. Also, their delivery was really fast and they are a service that does provide a way to unlock iPhone 5.

I started the process on a Tuesday night and by the next morning my iPhone 5 was unlocked. Incredible speed. I thought I would have to wait another week or so before I heard anything back but once I connected my iPhone to iTunes the next day I got the message I posted above.

Dealing with them was a pleasure. They offer great customer support and even though some of the question I had probably sounded a bit silly to them, they answered in a polite manner so I understood every step of the process.

2. IMEI Unlocking (OK service, 7/10)

I would use this service as backup to iUnlock Pro. The guys that run it seem to be good at what they do however I found that their customer service was lacking somewhat.

They weren’t rude or anything, it was just that it took 4 or 5 days before I got a reply from them – perhaps they are busy and this was before they managed to unlock iPhone 5s ? On top of this I thought their website was a bit difficult to figure out navigation wise and they don’t support all normal payment processes either which isn’t ideal. Although I was wondering how to unlock iPhone 5/5s/5c and they did help me out.

Not a terrible service but they pale in comparison to iUnlock Pro.

3. IMEI Codes (Puzzling website with average service, 6/10)

These guys are OK was well although they suffer from many of the same issues as IMEI unlocking but they do unlock iPhone 5c and other models.

Again, not terrible but certainly not the best and should only be used if the other services such as iUnlock Pro aren’t available.

Software unlocking does not work. Period. Stay well away if you don’t want to be scammed.
Hardware unlocking does work but it is drawn out and will void your iPhone warranty.
IMEI unlocks are, as I have shown you, the safest and most reliable method to have your iPhone 5 series unlocked.

Hopefully this is clear. If you are wondering how to unlock iPhone 5/5s/5c/ or having a lot of trouble getting your iPhone 5 series unlocked then I would recommend getting in touch with iUnlock Pro for a safe and fast unlocking process.

As I have shown you, there are several other options to getting your iPhone 5 series unlocked and being able to connect to another network but they are either a complete scam or just aren’t safe.

2. to Increase Facebook Likes: Like-Gated Coupons

http://heading-news.blogspot.com/
Coupons are a great (and ever-green) promotion. Something small like a 10% off coupon gives people an incentive to buy while keeping your margins (relatively) intact. The optimal way to use coupons though is to have them require an action to access them (that does not require much work).

Wishpond’s Coupon App and Group Coupon App make it easy to create a Facebook Like-gated coupon with built-in coupon codes.

A good Coupon App makes it easy for you to create your own coupon directly on Facebook. Having a coupon on Facebook makes it super easy to share, as many 3rd parties (yup, like Wishpond), enable you to select the option to autopost to participant’s Walls. That is, when someone participates to get your coupon code, a post is shown on their Facebook Wall, inviting their Friends to take part in your coupon offering too.

Wishpond’s Group Offers tool allows you to only make your coupon redeemable after a certain number of people have claimed it. This pushes people to share with their friends to unlock the coupon, driving even more Facebook Likes for your Page. Check out an example Group Offer below:
http://heading-news.blogspot.com/

One easy way to drive traffic to your Like-gated coupon is to add a call-to-action in the header of your website. This makes it easy to capture people as fans, as they are already in the mindset of buying from you. Check out an example of this below:

Like-gated coupons are also a solid promotion to advertise with Facebook Ads, as I dive into in Method #4 for generating Facebook Likes.

To Increase Facebook Likes: Contests

Check out an example of a Like-gate below:
I suck at PhotoShop! How can I get a professional Like-gate image for my Contest?

Most 3rd party Facebook apps, including all of Wishpond’s, have default Like-gate images that look great and are tailored to the type of contest you’re running.

Like-gated contests are great for creating high-converting Facebook Ads. As I’ll explain in Method #4, you need to provide an incentive to get clicks on your Facebook Ads.
